Credit Cards – Things to Consider When Applying for an Account
Many times, credit card companies come up to you either by telephone, electronic email, snail mail, in person inside malls and other public places to encourage you to apply for your own credit card. Many types of credit cards with different benefits will be offered to you, and these benefits are most likely to encourage you to apply for a credit card. But before you apply for it, make sure to understand the terms and conditions that are attached to your credit card application. Check on for some hidden charges or high interests so you can enjoy using your credit cards when you shop.
Select a credit card that is accepted in most stores, service establishments and shops. You may choose to have a Visa, MasterCard or American Express; these are the credit cards that are accepted worldwide.
You should also be aware that credit card companies charge an annual fee. Look for a credit card company that does not charge too much. There are also some companies that waive off the annual fee because they want to keep your business.
Make sure not to delay payments as credit card companies charge high late fees because this is their way of making money from their clients. If your billing statement does not arrive on time, let your credit card company know so they can send you one again and they can extend your due date.
When you have only started your term with the credit card company, your credit limit will usually start off as low, but this will increase in time, especially if you have good credit card history with them. As long as you pay your balance on time, they would consider increasing your credit limit in no time.
There are many benefits attached to owning credit cards. You will avail great discounts on many stores and shops at different seasons like during Christmas season, Spring break sales, Valentine's Day and so on. Some offer discounts on travel packages and insurances. Some even have a point system in which accumulated points can be used to do purchases at different stores. You can never go wrong in owning a credit card as long as you use it wisely.

Help with math problem solving question please?
I'm stuck on this question. Please help if you can.
Kitty and Katie are trading hockey cards. If kitty gives 1 card to Katie, they will have the same number of cards. If Katie gives one card to Kitty, she will have twice as many as she has. How many cards does each person have to start with.
Please provide a formula with it too if possible.
Assume that Kitty has x cards and Katie has y cards.
"If Kitty gives 1 card to Katie, they will have the same number of cards"
This means: x = y + 2 (or Kitty has two more card than Katie)
"If Katie gives one card to Kitty, she will have twice as many as she has"
This means: 2(y -1) = x + 1
Using substitution:
x - y = 2 (from the first statement)
-x + 2y = 3 (from the second statement)
_________
y = 5 (adding them together)
So Katie has 5 cards
Plugging this back in to either formula ( I like the first)
x - 5 = 2
x = 7
Thus Kitty has 7 cards. Checking these numbers in the story you will find that all values hold true.
